Climate change - Explanatory Note

                                        Climate change

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in weather patterns and global temperatures. It is primarily caused by human activities and natural processes. It has significant impacts on the environment, ecosystems and human well-being. The primary driver of climate change is the increased concentration of greenhouse gases in Earth’s atmosphere. (English for Class Nine by NCTB)

The greenhouse gases trap the sun’s warmth which makes our planet warmer. One of the major causes behind it is cars and factories giving off these gases. Besides, we are also cutting down trees indiscriminately that makes it worse, as trees absorb these gases. Because of climate change, the weather is getting worse gradually. Some parts of earth get too hot and in other parts, it might rain a lot. Nature, animals and people all suffer from these changes.
